For ten days in July and in over 30 sites, Gertrude Street in Fitzroy will be illuminated by the visions of talented projection artists for the Gertrude Street Projection Festival. From July 20 – 29, windows, laneway walls, footpaths, shop interiors, tree-trunks, and whole buildings will be lit up with art inventions, created by award winning projection artists, community groups and individuals.
In 2012, the theme of Elements has inspired a variety of works including the animations of award winning political satirists, Too Busy To Be Beautiful, and Yandell Walton exhibits an environmental themed interactive projection installation.
